May 2025 Update

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” ~ Romans 15:13 NIV

Trusting God can be easy and hard all at the same time, but no matter what the circumstance, God always works it out

for His glory and our good!

When the Lord first laid the vision for Rahab’s Redemption on my heart, I knew there would be many mountains to climb, and maybe even circle, but I never expected the “probate” mountain that I’ve been on the last two years after my beloved Uncle passed away. After excitedly dreaming with my Uncle, sharing the dream with my cousins, and even grading a portion of the land for the future site of the rescue home — I faced the challenge of not becoming discouraged at each delay in the probate process.

However, I would always go back to what my first Spiritual Mother, Rev. Gonny Maasbach, would say: Will you trust God even if He works things out differently than you are expecting and believing Him for? I knew God would work it out; I just had to keep moving forward with my focus on Him—and I am so glad I didn’t give up!

On April 21st, the day finally came when my cousins and I were finally able to come together on the “Farm”, and then later in the week, we were joined by my other uncles. As we began the process of sorting out my late Uncle’s belongings and cleaning up the property that has fallen into a bit of disrepair over the last two years, I’ve had the ability to share God’s vision with my extended family, and they have all been so supportive—but even more importantly—open to the Gospel!

I’m grateful to God for opening the door for us so the project can move forward, even if it still feels like a snail’s pace! The work has just begun, but it has begun!!!

Pioneering a project from the ground up is an impossible task without God’s wisdom and provision, so I scheduled a Prayer Meeting at the Farm on June 21st at 9am. This is for anyone who would like to see the site that was graded for the rescue home before my Uncle passed away. I will also take time to briefly share about the vision God has given me for the long term, and the immediate needs and actions to take. Contact me for the address if you would like to attend.

WHAT’S NEXT?

In addition to raising financial support, these are additional prayer needs:

1. For the Prayer Meeting on the Farm: Saturday, June 21st at 9am. I will do my best to set up an internet connection and create a Zoom link for remote participation for those who cannot make it in person.

2. I’m believing for a small excavator or similar small tractor to do some repair work and to put in a culvert to make the

driveway easier to navigate in the rainy season. It will also be used to dig the trenches for water and power to the RH site.

3. Prayer for ease of securing a surveyor and other contractors needed.
